How to get to the Congress venue
BY AIR

Linate
Take bus no. 73 in the 'National Arrivals Exit' area all the way to the terminal in Piazza San Babila. Go down into the Metro. Here take the Red Line 1 (Rho Fiera Milano direction).
for the 'viale Eginardo / viale Scarampo' entrance: get off at the “Amendola” stop – 700 m from the Congress Centre, or at “Lotto” approx. 800 m.
for the 'piazzale Carlo Magno / via Gattamelata' entrance: get off at the “Cadorna” stop, exit the subway and go to the railroad station above : take the first train departing and get off at the “Domodossola” stop – just 600 m from the Congress Centre.
 
Malpensa
The “MALPENSA EXPRESS” train service will take you directly from the airport to the centre of Milan in 40 minutes, arriving at the Ferrovie Nord “Cadorna” station.
Here take the Red Metro Line 1 (Rho Fiera Milano direction). for the 'viale Eginardo / viale Scarampo' entrance: get off at the “Amendola” stop – 700 m from the Congress Centre, or at “Lotto” approx. 800 m.
for the 'piazzale Carlo Magno / via Gattamelata' entrance: get off at the “Cadorna” stop, exit the subway and go to the railroad station above : take the first train departing and get off at the “Domodossola” stop – just 600 m from the Congress Centre.
 
Orio al Serio
The “AUTOSTRADALE” or “AIR PULLMAN” bus service will take you directly from the airport to Milan Central Station in 60 minutes: then take the Metro Geen Line 2 (Abbiategrasso direction) and get off at “Cadorna”.
Here take the Red Line 1 (Rho Fiera Milano direction).

How to participate in the congress


In order to participate in the 18th SOI International Congress in all the scheduled events and to visit the exhibition, a registration is required. The application form must be handed to the organizing secretariat and an entry fee must be paid, in compliance with the table below. The congress is reserved to: ophthalmologists, postgraduate students in ophthalmology, medical specialists that are not ophthalmologists, biologists, orthoptists/assistants of ophthalmology and nurses, students in medicine and orthoptists.
Registered participants will be provided with a badge with their personal name and photo. With no photo on the badge, participants will not be allowed to enter the exhibition and the congress area.


REGISTRATION FEE

Registration for the 18th SOI International Congress is free for SOI members who have renewed their membership fee for the current year. Non-SOI Members can attend the congress by paying a congress fee according to the following table:

Badge
Upon registration at the Congress Venue, participants that are up-to-date with the congress fee, will receive a non-transferable personal badge with name and photo*. The badge must be worn and visible at all time.
The badge will enable the participant to access the exhibition and the congress area through the barcode checking stations. For security reasons the entrance to the congress area with a badge not including a photo will be not allowed previous. The duplication of the badge will automatically cause the cancellation of the previous one and it will cost 50,00 Euro (local VAT included).

*photo station: participants receiving a badge without photo will have to reach the Photo station located in the registration area.

Booking of courses and sessions


To participate in the congress it is required to fill in the registration form available on-line on the following site www.congressisoi.com.

Badge


Al momento della registrazione in sede congressuale ad ogni partecipante in regola con le quote di iscrizione verrà consegnato un badge nominativo personale completo di foto e non cedibile, pena l’annullamento, che dovrà essere portato in modo visibile.
Il badge consentirà l’accesso all’area espositiva e congressuale tramite la lettura di un codice a barre.
Per ragioni di sicurezza, non sarà possibile accedere all’area congressuale con badge sprovvisti di foto.
Per quanti non avessero già provveduto, è necessario inviare all'e-mail iscrizioni@cmocongressi.it la propria foto in formato elettronico. La dimensione della foto deve essere 40mm di altezza per 33mm di larghezza, inquadratura centrale ed in alta risoluzione.
Gli studenti in Medicina ed in ortottica sono esentati dall'invio delle foto.
L’eventuale duplicazione del badge darà luogo automaticamente all’annullamento del precedente ed avrà un costo di 50 euro.
I badge saranno così contraddistinti:

Al fine di regolamentare le richieste degli organizzatori professionali di congressi viene istituito un fee d’ingresso per gli operatori congressuali di 1.000 euro.
La persona accreditata potrà accedere all’area congressuale ed all’esposizione ma non potrà avere nessun punto fisso di permanenza, né distribuire materiali promozionali e/o pubblicitari chepotranno essere messi in distribuzione solo dopo essere stati sottoposti ed approvati dal Consiglio Direttivo SOI. I suddetti operatori dovranno fare richiesta scritta alla segreteria ed accreditarsi al banco registrazione per poter accedere all’area congressuale. Le persone accreditate riceveranno un badge nominativo non cedibile e dovranno sottostare a tutte le norme di sicurezza richieste ai partecipanti ed espositori.
