How to get to the Congress Venue

Northern Italy (A1)

Take exit Roma Nord / Civitavecchia / Rieti and go through the toll station.
Continue on A1 for 15 km.
Take exit to Settebagni.
Turn right onto Via Salaria following directions to Roma (indicated with a black dot in a circle).
After 9.5 km, keep right following signs for Foro Italico / San Pietro.
Continue on for 4 km, pass the tunnel and then keep left following signs for Piazzale Eroi / Stadio Olimpico.
Keep left and take the tunnel signposted Piazzale Clodio.
Follow the signs for Piazzale Clodio / S. Pietro. The Olympic Stadium will appear on your left.
Keep right following the sign for Piazzale Clodio, and go straight on at 3 sets of traffic lights until you arrive at Piazzale Clodio (bus station on left, 2 petrol stations on right).
At the next set of traffic lights, turn right onto Via Paolo Borsellino e Giovanni Falcone.
Continue straight on up the hill.
Go straight on at the traffic lights, and at the end of the road turn left onto Via A. Cadlolo.
Continue on for 300m and the entrance to the Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts will be on your left.

Southern Italy (A1)

Take the A1 branch towards Roma Sud / Civitavecchia / San Cesareo
Continue 18 km and join the GRA-Grande Raccordo Anulare direction Aurelia
Follow the GRA for 29.1 km
Take Exit 1, direction Roma-Aurelio / Città del Vaticano
Continue on Via Aurelia for 4.8 km
At Piazza San Giovanni Battista De La Salle (McDonalds on your left) continue straight on for 2.6 km
At the traffic lights, turn left on to Via Leone IV
Continue straight to the end of the road (Piazzale Clodio), then turn right
Make a u-turn at the end of Piazzale Clodio, turning left.
Pass the 2 petrol stations and turn right at the traffic lights, taking Via Paolo Borsellino e Giovanni Falcone up the hill.
At the traffic lights, at the top of the hill, go straight on, and at the end of the road turn left onto Via A. Cadlolo.
Continue for 300m and the entrance to the Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts will be on your left.

Fiumicino Airport

Driving out of the airport, take the A91, direction ‘Roma’ for 11.5 km
Keep right and take exit SS1 Aurelia / Città del Vaticano
Continue along the GRA-Grande Raccordo Anulare for 6.1 km
Take Exit 1, direction Roma-Aurelio / Città del Vaticano
Continue on Via Aurelia for 4.8 km
At Piazza San Giovanni Battista De La Salle (McDonalds on your left!) continue straight on for 2.6 km
At the traffic lights, turn left on to Via Leone IV
Continue straight to the end of the road (Piazzale Clodio), then turn right

Take the exit to the GRA-Grande Raccordo Anulare, direction Fiumicino / Ardeatina / Civitavecchia and follow the GRA for 23.4km
Take Exit 1, direction Roma-Aurelio / Città del Vaticano
Continue on Via Aurelia for 4.8 km
At Piazza San Giovanni Battista De La Salle (McDonalds on your left) continue straight on for 2.6 km
At the traffic lights, turn left on to Via Leone IV
Continue straight to the end of the road (Piazzale Clodio), then turn right

Take direct train ‘Leonardo Express’ from the train terminal (every 30 minutes) to Termini Station.
Take underground line A (direction Battistini) to Barberini – 2 stops
On Piazza Barberini – corner with Via Veneto, you can find the Hotel shuttle bus (Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts sign) at the times stated on the Shuttle Bus page of the website. Space subject to availability upon capacity.

General Information
SOI members with 2021 membership dues paid up have free access to the 18th SOI International Congress, exhibition area and to all other event within the program upon presentation of the COVID-19 vaccination/immunization certificate. The Congress is aimed at: specializing ophthalmologists, any specialized doctor non ophthalmologists, biologists, orthoptist/ nurses and assistant of ophthalmology, medical and orthoptist student.
All participants, except for students, will receive a personal badge with name and photo. Access to the congress and exhibition area with a badge without a photo will be not allowed.Access to the Congress is allowed only upon presentation of the certificate of vaccination / immunization.
All participants will receive a congress bag.

Registration fee All the events of the 18th SOI International Congress are free.
Therefore, each participant will be able to attend the congress according to the registration fees listed below:

In order to regulate requests from Professional Congress Organizers, it is established an entrance fee of
€ 1.000,00 (local VAT included). The registered person will be allowed to enter the congress and the
exhibition area but it will not be allowed to have a permanent desk or position not to distribute
promotional material without permission of SOI Board of Directors. PCOs will have to hand over a formal
written request to the Organizing Secretariat to attend the congress and to register at the Reception Desk
upon arrival; a personal badge will be provided. Health and Safety Rules and Congress Regulation will be applied.

Badge
Participants will receive a non-transferable personal badge with name and photo. The badge will enable the participant to access the exhibition and the congress area. The duplication of the badge will automatically
cause the cancellation of the previous one and it will cost 50,00 Euro (local VAT included).
Badges will be provided to the following categories:

All participants, except for students, will receive a personal badge with name and photo. Access to the congress and exhibition area with a badge without a photo will be not allowed.

Simultaneous Translation
Simultaneous translation service, English/Italian and Italian/English, will be provided for all sessions.

DISTANCE LEARNING

The scientific session taking place in Salone Cavalieri, Salone Belle Arti and in the conference halls connected via closed-circuit, a distance learning option will be available.

Exhibition
The technical-scientific exhibition will be set up in the congress area and all participants with a regular badge
will be allowed to access it. Exhibitors are invited to contact the dedicated desk to collect their personal badges.

Catering service
Participants can buy Lunch Coupon at the Registration Desk upon availability.

A coffee bar is located in the exhibition area and is open during all congress days.

Cloakroom for a fee
A cloakroom is located at the entrance of the Exhibition area, Floor – 1.

Anche per questa edizione del Congresso SOI, tutti gli eventi sono completamente gratuiti.
SOI mette a disposizione un nuovo metodo di iscrizione on line che consente di ritirare il badge più velocemente e iniziare subito il percorso di aggiornamento.
Tutti coloro che avranno fatto l'iscrizione on line dovranno presentare la lettera di conferma di iscrizione stampata o scaricata nel proprio smartphone ai desk predisposti e richiedere la stampa del proprio badge.
Questa nuova opportunità permetterà di risparmiare tempo e raggiungere velocemente le aule dedicate ad ospitare i numerosi eventi del programma scientifico e la più ampia area espositiva del settore.
NON SI DEVE PIU' EFFETTUARE L'ISCRIZIONE AI CORSI O SESSIONI.
L'ingresso alle sessioni e ai corsi sarà consentito fino al raggiungimento della massima capienza dell'aula.
Gli studenti in medicina ed in ortottica potranno iscriversi al congresso esclusivamente in sede congressuale.

Badge

Al momento della registrazione in sede congressuale ad ogni partecipante in regola con le quote di iscrizione verrà consegnato un badge nominativo personale completo di foto e non cedibile, pena l’annullamento, che dovrà essere portato in modo visibile.
Il badge consentirà l’accesso all’area espositiva e congressuale tramite la lettura di un codice a barre.
Per ragioni di sicurezza, non sarà possibile accedere all’area congressuale con badge sprovvisti di foto.

Per quanti non avessero già provveduto, è necessario inviare all'e-mail iscrizioni@cmocongressi.it la propria foto in formato elettronico. La dimensione della foto deve essere 40mm di altezza per 33mm di larghezza, inquadratura centrale ed in alta risoluzione.

Gli studenti in Medicina ed in ortottica sono esentati dall'invio delle foto.
L’eventuale duplicazione del badge darà luogo automaticamente all’annullamento del precedente ed avrà un costo di 50 euro.
I badge saranno così contraddistinti:

Al fine di regolamentare le richieste degli organizzatori professionali di congressi viene istituito un fee d’ingresso per gli operatori congressuali di 1.000 euro.
La persona accreditata potrà accedere all’area congressuale ed all’esposizione ma non potrà avere nessun punto fisso di permanenza, né distribuire materiali promozionali e/o pubblicitari chepotranno essere messi in distribuzione solo dopo essere stati sottoposti ed approvati dal Consiglio Direttivo SOI. I suddetti operatori dovranno fare richiesta scritta alla segreteria ed accreditarsi al banco registrazione per poter accedere all’area congressuale. Le persone accreditate riceveranno un badge nominativo non cedibile e dovranno sottostare a tutte le norme di sicurezza richieste ai partecipanti ed espositori.
